Prohibition Ends At Last!

On Sunday, December 4, 2011, celebrate your right to tipple as Mr. Rain’s Fun House presents its first annual Repeal Day dinner. Chef Bill Buszinski & Beverage Director Perez Klebahn will bring you back to the Roaring Twenties with a tasting menu inspired by the era.

Five Course Tasting Menu: 65.00

First course Oysters Rockafeller Gruyère, anise butter

Second Course Lobster Heart of palm, passion fruit ganache, coconut pearls

Third Course Rabbit Pancetta Parsnip puree, carrot chips, lavendar cream

Fourth Course Short Ribs in Root Beer Cure Vanilla & Graftin cheddar au gratin, glazed fennel

Fifth Course Baked Alaska Cotton candy

We are also featuring Prohibition Era cocktails and modern interpretations of the same. The cocktails are designed to pair with each of the the courses for the tasting menu, though any of the drinks from this menu can be ordered throughout the evening. These are priced ala carte.

Second Course Sidecar Cles de Duc cognac, Cointreau orange liqueur, fresh citrus and
“Sidecar” Osborne “Bailen” dry oloroso sherry, Luxardo orange liqueur, coconut tincture, fresh citrus

Third Course Negroni Martin Miller’s gin, Carpano Antica Formula sweet vermouth, Campari and “Negroni” Hayman’s Old Tom gin, Dimmi Liquore de Milano, Dolin vermouth de Chambéry blanc, lavendar bitters

Fourth Course Sazerac Old Overholt rye whisk{e}y, Peychaud’s bitters, Angostura bitters, Herbsaint and “Sazerac” Copper Fox rye whisk{e}y, Varnelli Amaro Sibilla, vanilla syrup, absinthe foam

Fifth Course Mary Pickford Flor de Cana white rum, housemade grenadine, pineapple juice, brandied cherries and “Mary Pickford” Almond infused Prichard’s rum, housemade pineapple liqueur,
cherry bitters

Live music from the Jazz Age will entertain you during the evening. Doors open at 6pm with complimentary canapés with one seating at 7pm.
